4 changes shipped across 2 codebases last week. Most of it was groundwork, so this one's short.
Handl: Hubstaff that looks after itself
If your team tracks time in Hubstaff, Handl pulls those hours in so your project numbers stay current. This week that connection got a lot more self-sufficient.
- It refreshes before it syncs. Every sync checks the connection first and renews it if it's close to expiring.
- A daily keep-alive. Once a day, Handl renews any connection that's due, so it stays live even through a quiet stretch when nobody's logging time. Handy over holidays.
- It knows a hiccup from a real problem. If Hubstaff is briefly unavailable, Handl tries again on the next cycle. If the connection genuinely needs you to reconnect, it says so clearly.
You connect it once, and then you shouldn't have to think about it again.

Behind the scenes: moving house
The rest of the week went into planning a move. We're moving Handl and Arbeo to a new database provider, and this week we wrote the plan and built the tooling to do it. Arbeo's development database went first, as the trial run.
Nothing changes for anyone using either product. The point of doing the plan and the rehearsal properly is that the real move is boring.
See you next week.
